Hosting in Germany
Using Germany as a server location provides greater legal certainty for your customers. Since data centers in Germany are subject to German law, data is processed in accordance with the German Data Protection Act. This ensures that data is protected from access by unauthorized third parties. Data stored on a server in the US, for example, is not protected by the US authorities.
For this reason, our choice of Germany as the server location is extremely important for confidential and sensitive customer data.
Pseudonymization
To ensure that our AI engine can deliver the best possible results for each individual customer and continue to evolve, the click and purchase behavior of shoppers is recorded in pseudonymized form for the knowledge base, among other things.
When processing personal data, the provisions of the GDPR, such as the principle of data minimization, must be complied with. According to the EU GDPR, personal data may only be further collected and evaluated if it has been properly pseudonymized beforehand, i.e., if personal data can no longer be attributed to a specific data subject.
Order Processing Agreement (AVV)
According to the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), every company that processes personal data on behalf of others, even if it is pseudonymized, must conclude a contract for order processing. The contract regulates the rights and obligations of the client, the contractor, and any subcontractors. Among other things, this is to ensure that the contractor only processes and protects the data entrusted to it for the purposes for which the client collected the data.
We offer you the opportunity to conclude a data processing agreement with us. With this agreement, you can legally confirm to your customers that their data is secure on our servers.
