Ettlingen, 06 April 2022 - With the current Control Desk Release 6.0 consisting of various feature improvements and adapted design, epoq improves the user experience of its monitoring and control tool and thus simplifies shop-specific adjustments in terms of personalisation.

Intuitive operation for fast personalisation

Personalisation in e-commerce promises customers an optimal user experience, which is based on the advantages of online shopping combined with the quality of individual support from stationary retail. At the same time, shop operators succeed in sustainably increasing the conversion rate and significantly improving customer loyalty in the long term.

The user experience, along with other aspects, is the main focus for shop operators when it comes to personalisation measures. However, the user experience is not only essential in the shop, but also in the monitoring and control of personalisation. This makes it possible to implement shop-specific adjustments more quickly.

“The better and more intuitive the operation is for shop operators at the control desk, the better the monitoring and control of personalisation measures will be. This in turn also leads to faster shop-specific adjustments in the online shop. epoq wanted to take this into account with the new Control Desk Release 6.0,” explains Thorsten Mühling, Managing Director of epoq internet services GmbH.

Easy navigation and faster overview accelerate shop-specific adjustments

With Control Desk Release 6.0, epoq delivers a comprehensive overhaul and redesign of the central control and monitoring of online shop personalisation. Adapted to the corporate design, the e-commerce backend now optimally links to other elements such as the epoq website. The even more attractive interface with its revised menu structure is designed to make navigation even easier for users and provide them with a quick overview of all available information and control elements.

Visible are software services, that have already been booked and those that are also available, for which further information can be easily accessed via a link. The new menu item “Quickstart” also serves this purpose, offering an overview of the features of individual booked services and demonstrating their use by means of use cases. A glossary, which has also been newly introduced, clearly combines all key figures and related definitions. Another new feature in Control Desk Release 6.0 is the ability to independently create and manage A/B tests, which help users find the optimal configuration and continuously improve the benefits of epoq Software Services.

Small change – big effect for users

Other features were specifically further developed and optimised in the course of the revision of the Control Desk, for example, the editor product search. In the process, those responsible also paid attention to small changes with a big effect for the user, such as the now available option to save entries by pressing the Enter key.

“Overall, with Control Desk Release 6.0, we have succeeded in making navigation easier and improving the user experience for shop operators,” emphasises Mühling. “With this and new and improved features, we want to offer our customers the opportunity to focus even better on the essentials and in turn ensure an optimal shopping experience for their customers.”
